Tonopah Main Street replaced all planters in 2020 with 30 self-watering ones. 20 additional planters were placed in 2021.
The planters were purchased from EarthPlanter, a Main Street America supporter, and are made in the USA. Their water reservoir hold enough water for up to 10 days and greatly reduces watering time. Check www.earthplanter.com for more information.
Flowers and plants are purchased locally from Raley's.
Tonopah Main Street placed eight additional benches on Main Street in 2020 to make downtown more welcoming and accessible for visitors and shoppers.
Tonopah Main Street reached out to the property owners of vacant downtown businesses to ask permission to beautify storefronts and add signage enticing potential renters or buyers to view the property.
Five locations were purchased or rented in 2021 and 2022. We continue to work on reducing the vacancy rate in Tonopah.

We continue to add murals and monuments and hope to create a new mural or monument every year. Our latest monument is the TAAF Airmen's Memorial Wall (added in 2020). Our latest murals were painted by artist Jamie Vincek in 2021 on the Tonopah Convention Center and Belvada Hotel. A 3-D metal cattle drive on the sidewalk handrails was also added in 2021 by Twisted Steel out of Fernley, Nevada.
