Downtown Tonopah had 4 different types of planters. Tonopah Main Street just replaced all planters with self-watering ones. Flowers were purchased locally from Sagebrush Dreams Flowers & More. The new planters are not only enhancing the look of downtown but they are also relieving a lot of volunteers who used to help water the flowers during the summer. The watering will now be done by Town Maintenance staff.
Tonopah Main Street owns the existing benches on Main Street. We were awarded grant funding to add more benches and make downtown more welcoming for visitors and shoppers. These benches will be placed in the fall.
Tonopah Main Street reached out to the property owners of vacant downtown businesses to ask permission to beautify storefronts and add signage enticing potential renters to view the property.
